Born in Berks County, PA, Dave graduated from Oley Valley High School and Rutgers University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business and Marketing
Dave spent thirty-five years in a Senior Sales position with UFP Technologies, a producer of custom engineered components, products, and specialty packaging, with corporate offices in Newburyport, Mass. Now retired, he spends much of his time giving back. Dave is an active participant at the Christ Hamilton Lutheran Church and is the founder of Project One Step, a music ministry uniting people of faith and uplifting people in need. He manages the concert schedule for Donna Godshall and drives residents of Living Branches Retirement Community to appointments. Dave and his wife, Janis, also host a free New Years Eve dinner and concert at the church, at which donations are collected and given to a local charity.
Dave joined the Pocono Alliance Board of Directors because he believes everyone has a responsibility to make his or her community a better place for every resident. “There is no greater joy in life than to help another person who finds themselves overwhelmed by life’s circumstances,” he says. “That might involve a financial need, emotional or spiritual support, advice, or giving of one’s time. Through Pocono Alliance, I hope to impact systematic issues in our community that effect the quality of life for every resident, providing the vehicles for everyone to become part of the solution.”
Dave and Janis settled in Poconos in 1988, where they raised their three children. They now have five grandchildren.
