Dr. Kim Filipkowski holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Pittsburg and a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Logan College of Chiropractic. She also completed Certified Chiropractic Golf Specialist studies through the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic.
Kim is presently the Head of Chiropractic Services at Mountain Valley Orthopedic. A native of Monroe County, she is very active in her community and advocates for solutions to the various causes within it. Kim is currently the Immediate Past President of Pocono Alliance. “My passion for Pocono Alliance is grounded in the organization’s ability to identify the ever-evolving needs of the community, cultivate a collaboration of resources, and facilitate programs that serve the needs of our residents,” she says.
Kim is also the current Secretary of the Stroudsburg Borough Planning Commission, and Board Vice President of the Pocono Family YMCA. She is a founding member of the Rotary Club of the Stroudsburgs’ Satellite Club. She has volunteered in many positions and for multiple organizations including Pocono Health Systems, Northampton Community College, Pocono Mountains Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Pocono, and the United Way. In 2008, Kim received the Citizen of the Year award through the Greater Pocono Chamber of Commerce.
Kim is also an avid runner, and has completed several half and full marathons. “I run for fitness and fun, but most of all to help raise money for good causes,” she says. Kim lives in the Pocono area with her two daughters.
