Michael Tukeva has served as the Executive Director of Pocono Alliance since April 2008, focusing on program development and multidimensional collaboration. A large part of his role includes building relationships and delegating time to the assessment of needs and systems change to support the continuum of services available in Monroe County, allowing for a better community for all residents.
“I love that I have an opportunity to inspire others and give hope to those who need it,” Michael says. “It’s very fulfilling to see people grow personally and professionally as they dream about their future.”
Michael holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology and a minor in Religious Studies from Penn State University. He also holds a Masters of Education degree in Counseling from Lehigh University.
Michael serves as a volunteer advisory board member for Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley and is highly active at his church, where he helps facilitate adult ministry activity along with participating in the counseling ministry. Michael is passionate about working with individuals and helping them to reach their fullest potential.
On a much lighter note, Michael is an adventurer at heart with a bucket list of 50 items. Some of the most notable include starting a foundation, fasting for seven days, running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain and kissing his wife in Paris.
