Cops ‘n Kids

Determined to connect: When cops read to kids, the story ends with a love of literature. And a greater respect for community helpers.

Giving kids access to books gives them a broader access to the world.

We believe in feeding kid’s imaginations with the adventures found in books.

This program ensures that every child in Monroe County has access to books and meaningful literacy-based experiences.

Drop off new or gently-used books at the Pocono Alliance office during regular business hours or contact Roxanne Powell to set up your own book drive for the Cops N Kids literacy program.

Police and other community members are invited — to share the responsibility and the joy.

We’re all in this together as we further the educational development of each child. Even more, this program encourages a healthy and positive respect for police and other community helpers — something children will take with them long after the story ends.

Help make a difference in our community.
