S.M.I.L.E. (Support, Mentor, Include, Learn, Engage)
Those closest to at-risk children need our support, too.
By taking action now, we can help reduce future spending in remedial programs.
S.M.I.L.E. provides guidance and mentoring to families and early childhood facilities that support, nurture and care for at-risk children.
For disadvantaged and/or low-income children in the East Stroudsburg Area School District, this program helps shape their learning for pre-K and later grades in school.
Pre-K is the basis for future success. We lay the groundwork for better Pre-K experiences.
It starts with including families, early learning programs, and schools. By providing essential skills, mentoring programs, and learning about family diversity, we help improve home environment, parent-child relationships, and social connectedness.
